My work is primarily in and around the UK, however I do also get the fun of working internationally. My main job’s are centred around providing and operating sound equipment for live events, whether that be “rock n’ roll gigs”, corporate events or theatre productions.
I studied at LIPA in Liverpool, During which I worked both on and off curriculum on a number of events during my time at LIPA including Liverpool Music Week, BBC Three’s ‘Liverpool Nativity’, ‘Breaking Out’ – UK Dance Tour and Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007.
After graduating from LIPA in Summer 2008 with a First Class (Hons) I was fortunate to be able to move straight into the sound industry as a freelancer. Since then I have had the pleasure of working on a variety of productions, events and shows including Wimbledon Tennis Championships, Olympic Games (London and Sochi), Ghost The Musical (London, UK and Korea), Dirty Dancing The Musical (UK), Mama Mia (London and Denmark), The War Of The Worlds (UK and Europe) and CSE Forces Entertainment Shows (Worldwide).
In addition to my work in audio, I also co-own and run a web hosting company – magicgenie.co.uk (who, rather unsurprisingly host this site). magicgenie.co.uk has been operating for over five years now, and hosts quite a few entertainment related websites, from other engineers to recording studios. Prices start from £20 a year with a free domain!
I prided myself on turning up on time, remembering how people take their tea and bringing biscuits.
